How to search what was said across all your calls

Callens search finds the moment something was said across your calls, however it was phrased. Chat answers questions across every call you are allowed to open and says where each part of the answer came from. A saved search can become an email alert that carries a count of new matches, never the content.

The problem with a folder of recordings

Most teams already record their calls. The recordings sit in a phone system or a shared drive, named by date and extension. When a manager needs to know whether any customer mentioned a competitor last week, or which calls included a promised refund, the only way to find out is to listen. Nobody does, so the question goes unanswered.

Recording a call is not the same as knowing what happened on it. A recording becomes useful when you can find the exact moment inside it without playing the whole thing.

Search that finds meaning, not only words

Keyword search fails on calls because people rarely use the words you would type. A customer who is about to leave might say they are "looking at other options", "not sure this is working for us" or ask how to cancel. In Arabic the same idea can be said in Egyptian, Saudi or Emirati phrasing, each with its own words.

Callens search finds the moment something was said however it was phrased. A result takes you to the point in the call, with the transcript around it, so you can check the context and play the audio from there. Each result also shows which employee's call it is, so you know whose conversation you are opening before you play it.

  • Every call last month where a customer raised the price.
  • Calls in which an agent promised a callback.
  • Conversations where a competitor came up during a renewal.

Asking questions across calls, with citations

Search answers "where was this said". Chat answers "what does it add up to". You can ask a question in plain language, such as what customers said about the new delivery schedule this week, and Callens answers across every call you are allowed to open.

The important part is the citation. Each part of the answer says where it came from, so a manager can open the call and hear the sentence before repeating the conclusion in a meeting. An answer you cannot check is a rumour. An answer with its sources attached is a starting point for a decision.

Chat respects access. It only draws on calls the person asking may open, which follows the same roles as the rest of the product: owner, admin, manager, reviewer and viewer, built from individual abilities.

Saved searches that become alerts

Some questions are worth asking every day. A compliance lead wants to know when a restricted phrase appears. A sales director wants to know when a competitor is named. Instead of running the same search each morning, save it.

A saved search in Callens becomes an email alert. The email carries a count of new matches, never the content of the calls, so a transcript does not travel through anyone's inbox. The link opens the alerts inbox in the product, where each new match is listed with its excerpt and the moment in the call, and where access rules and the audit trail apply.

Getting results out

Any filtered list of calls exports as CSV, and any single call exports as a PDF report, with or without the transcript. Teams that already work inside an AI assistant can use the Callens MCP server, which gives read-only access to call data from the AI tools the team already uses.

Recording access has its own audit trail, including every request that was refused, and every change is logged field by field. Being able to find anything quickly makes it more important, not less, to know who looked.

Questions

Can I search inside call recordings?

Yes. Callens transcribes each call and its search finds the moment something was said, however it was phrased, then opens the call at that point so you can read and listen.

Can AI answer questions about my sales calls?

Callens chat answers questions across every call you are allowed to open and says where each part of the answer came from, so you can check the source before you act on it.

Does call search work in Arabic?

Yes. Callens supports Egyptian, Saudi and Emirati Arabic and English, and search looks for meaning rather than exact words, which matters when the same idea is phrased differently across dialects.

Can I get an alert when a keyword or topic comes up on a call?

Yes. Save a search in Callens and it becomes an email alert. The email carries a count of new matches, never the call content.

Who can see the answers chat gives?

Only what the person asking may already open. Chat draws on the calls their role allows, and recording access is kept in its own audit trail.
